I’m wearing a shoe that’s engineered for, well, a heavier runner. Between the bone spurs and my weight, a heavier shoe is a necessity for me. I’m rocking the Dyad 6, which you can find on Amazon here:
I like this shoe a lot. My salesperson at my local running store put me straight into Brooks, and while we tried a few other brands, Brooks has worked for me before, and I’m not surprised it’s working for me now. It’s a relatively high profile shoe, meaning a little more ankle support, and also that you need to wear a sock that comes up past the ankle or you’ll get some very uncomfortable wearing on the skin by your Achilles tendon. This shoe packs a ton of cushioning, both at the front and the back. I’ve been very happy with it, but am probably already half way through their life-span based on how much running I’ve been doing.
